Twitter/X thinks there is nothing called writer’s block. According to them, that is just an excuse for being lazy. But believe me, I was there, and I know that writers block is no joke.
You lose all your creative juice, and the simplest of tasks seem way harder than they actually are.
Writers on X are just trying to look cool, making jokes about writers block.
Now it doesn’t matter whether you believe in it or not if you ever be in that situation where you lose all your creativity, it gets hard to cope with that and still produce quality work if your income depends on writing.
You will need a way out if you ever face the issue. As someone who has already been in that situation three times, I can surely guide you. But before we find a solution, we must know the cause of what is happening.
Why do you lose all your creative juice?
When you work too hard and push yourself to your limit for a long period of time, you are more likely to end up burned out.
As said, I’ve hit writer’s block three times, and every single time it was constantly pushing myself that caused me to lose my creativity.
Even though I was pushing hard, it didn’t feel like I'd end up burning out. But it happened every single time.
This is why I avoid working so hard for long periods of time nowadays.
Perfect solution
Creativity is like a fart
If you force, it becomes sh*t.
When you have no juice left, you can only think of two things:
Write about your struggles
Spend time totally off from work.
As you can’t come up with any ideas, the best solution is to write about your experience with writer’s block. Share your feelings, struggles, how you are coping with it, etc.
Or just spend time away from work. Honestly I aways went for the second option. I was able to do so because I create content in advance. So even if I go away, my writing will still be uploaded to the internet.
I spend more time with family and friends, and that is how I slowly get back on track.
So here is your sauce.
See you, keep evolving.
